Individual Account:
1. Copy of Hong Kong identity card(s) or passport(s)
2. Valid address proof issued in the last 3 months (e.g. utilities bills, bank statement etc.)
3. Bank proof (e.g. bank statement, Deposit Card etc.)
4. Valid asset proof (for professional investor)

How long does it take to open a securities account?

Application normally takes 2-5 working days to process after we have received your valid application with required documents.

What are the trading hours of Hong Kong securities market?

HONG KONG SECURITIES MARKET
Trading is conducted on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) at the following times:

Auction Session
Pre-opening Session 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Continuous Trading Session
Morning Session 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Extended Morning Session 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon Session 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Auction Session
Closing Auction Session 4:00 p.m. to a random closing between 4:08 p.m. and 4:10 p.m.

How can I subscribe IPO shares?

SPDBI Securities provides IPO margin subscription service, for details, please contact your account relationship manager.

Will there be any IPO subscription fee?

There will be a handling fee of HKD 100 for each IPO subscription no matter the subscription is in form of cash or margin financing.

How to place odd lot trading instruction?

SPDBI Securities provides old lot trading service while it is limited for offline trading only, please contact your account relationship manager accordingly.

How shall I do if I want to transfer stocks from other brokerage / bank into SPDBIS?

Please complete in the Securities Settlement Instruction Form and return to us by fax, email, post or in person. You should provide certain information, including Stock Type, Stock Code, Name of Stock, Quantity, Name of Counterparty, CCASS Number of Counterparty, Name and Contact Number of Contact Person, etc.

*Please note that you have to inform the counterparty about this securities settlement.*
