SPDB International Funds Frontline Enterprises in Fighting COVID-19
SPDB International resolutely implements the strategic deployment of the Chinese Government and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (“SPD Bank”), with all efforts to provide financial support for fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in China. In Q1 2020, SPDB International provided mezzanine financing to Eddingpharm. Together with its parent company, SPD Bank, SPDB International has so far financed approximately USD100 million to Eddingpharm through equity investment, bank loans, and M&A loans, thus providing strong financial support to expand production capacity for the enterprises and build lines of protection against COVID-19 in China.

As a leading enterprise in China's pharmaceutical distribution segment, Eddingpharm (“Company”) is committed to introduce global high-quality medical resources into the Chinese market. After the outbreak of COVID-19, one of the Company's subsidiaries, Suzhou Ceclor Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, is nominated as one of the key enterprises for epidemic prevention and control in Jiangsu Province. Immediately following the COVID-19 outbreak, the Company donated to the Wuhan Charity Federation 2 million RMB, specifically used to support the epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19 in Wuhan. The Company also donated 1 million RMB to the Chinese Red Cross Foundation in order to provide humanitarian assistance for the frontline healthcare workers infected with COVID-19. In addition, the Company pays close attention to the development of COVID-19 outbreak, and the needs of the frontline healthcare workers. It donated urgently needed healthcare products, including Vancocin, Ceclor, Zinacef and other first-class antibiotics to the Central Hospital of Wuhan, Wuhan Union Hospital, Wuhan Tongji Hospital, Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital and other major hospitals in Wuhan. Vancocin, in particular, is mainly used to prevent cases of infection in hospitals and is widely used in ICUs. Itis one of the most needed drugs in the forefront of fighting COVID-19.
